Weekday Keyholder

Part-time | 5–12 hours/week | $20/hr + monthly team commissions
Weekday availability required 

We are looking for a Part-Time Weekday Keyholder to join our team! The primary responsibilities of a weekday keyholder are to help oversee day-to-day operations at the shop, create a warm and inviting shop environment, and support both the sales floor and behind-the-scenes shop operations. This person will open and close the shop, lead the sales floor when needed, assist with product intake, inventory and tagging, help with merchandising, and create an informative and welcoming shopping experience for our customers.

THIS CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:

  • Experience in a retail environment 
  • Weekday availability 
  • A friendly, self-starter attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Willingness and eagerness to help our customers and team in any way 

DREAM CANDIDATES ALSO HAVE:

  • Knowledge of the Shopify platform
  • Familiarity with upscale jewelry brands and comfort using jewelry terminology
  • Experience in sales, preferably in a jewelry-related environment
  • Experience with inventory, product intake, tagging, or merchandising

Responsibilities include:

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Maintain a welcoming, friendly attitude to anyone who enters the shop
  • Prioritize  customer engagement
  • Proactively interact with customers and help to answer any questions, comments, or concerns
  • Help to create a warm, inviting shop environment
  • Find solutions to customer requests
  • Lead customer interactions rather than waiting for the customer to engage

SHOP LOGISTICS

  • Open and close the shop in a timely and organized manner
  • Act as a leader on the shop floor when needed
  • Work quickly and efficiently to troubleshoot shop issues and handle basic customer service problems
  • Re-merchandise and restock on an ongoing basis
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and store credit transactions
  • Maintain accuracy at the register
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
  • Assist with daily shop projects and operational needs

INVENTORY & PRODUCT

  • Assist with receiving and processing incoming inventory
  • Tag and prepare new products for the sales floor
  • Help maintain accurate inventory and product information
  • Assist with inventory counts and identifying discrepancies
  • Organize backstock and product storage 
  • Help with product intake, pricing, and other inventory-related projects as needed

  • Organize Assist with merchandising and keeping displays fresh, organized, and properly stocked

PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE

  • Make a consistent effort to be well-versed in all of the products/designers we carry in store
  • Share product and designer stories with customers to encourage sales
  • Guide customers through the fine jewelry and engagement buying process
