Weekend Shop Associate

Part-time | 5–8 hours/week | $19/hr + monthly team commissions
Weekend & holiday availability required (12–5pm or 1–6pm)

Shelter is looking for a warm, people-loving Weekend Shop Associate to help create an unforgettable, welcoming shopping experience.

You’ll be the friendly face greeting our customers, learning about their stories, and helping them find jewelry they genuinely love — while keeping our shop organized, beautiful, and running smoothly.

This is a great role for someone who thrives in a small business, loves connecting with people, and wants to learn more about the world of contemporary fine jewelry.

You’ll love this role if you:

• Love helping people feel comfortable and taken care of

• Are a self-starter who jumps in wherever needed

• Enjoy being part of a collaborative, creative environment

Excellent communication skills, reliability, and a can-do attitude are musts. Jewelry knowledge is a plus — but not required. We’ll teach you!

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience in retail or hospitality

• Familiarity with Shopify or other POS systems

• Interest in independent and fine jewelry brands

• Comfort talking through styling, gift ideas, and upsells in a genuine way

What you’ll do:

• Deliver warm, memorable customer service

• Greet every customer and help guide them through the shop

• Learn our products and stories — and share them confidently

• Keep the shop tidy, stocked, and beautifully presented

• Assist with tagging, organizing, and restocking merchandise

• Handle POS transactions with accuracy and care

• Share upcoming promotions, events, or special collections

• Maintain an inviting, calm, and elevated environment
