A Reopening Update

You’re probably aware that DC is now in phase 2 of reopening which allows retail spaces to open their doors. While i'm excited about this forward motion, i'm taking a slower and more cautious approach to reopening. I wanted to share a bit more info on this so that you can have a full understanding of what operating a retail space looks like at this time and the thinking behind my + the team's decision.

SAFETY // The health and safety of my team and our customers is my first priority. We need to give a bit more time to think through our store layout, checkout procedures, etc and also procure things like PPE, plexiglass, and more to ensure the highest level of safety. Remember that coronavirus has not magically disappeared 🙃

SALES // Simply put, our sales are down drastically. To turn on the lights (literally and figuratively) comes with many additional costs and we’re not in a place to incur more expenses like rent, more staffing, etc. This is the current reality of many small businesses out there. I'm confident we’ll get back on our feet, but it’s taking time and patience ✨

INVENTORY // We are pretty low on many items, and are not purchasing the volume of inventory that you are used to seeing in-store. My team + I need time to merchandise what we have while still continuing to bring in limited new orders and restock some of your favorite pieces.

  • While we don’t have a reopening date or plan just yet, we’re working on it! In the meantime, here’s what you can do to continue supporting us if you’re so inclined:Shop online - this is the best way to continue to show your support for us! We’re aiming to ship most of your orders within 24-48 hours
  • Shop for curbside pick up - we will continue to run curbside options on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. I’m running this along with shop managers Emily + Loey. We’ve loved seeing you all!
  • Ask us about custom - were still working with clients remotely on custom pieces! We’ve loved seeing your faces over video chats and have designed some lovely pieces from afar.

.
We appreciate your patience and can’t wait to see you back in the shop. Thanks for your ongoing support! ❤️
